I was waiting for the cat... many times. Patience was probably the most important ingredient in this shot, together with an approach to just not get pleased with a half-decent shot. I did one shoot an hour before this too, but didn't think any of the photos were good enough so I deleted them all and went out again.

I have to say that so far this is my favorite image. Your lighting, composition and focus are fantastic but this one has the added bonus of kitten!!! :)
